“My Journey for a Lifetime completely changed the way I look at the world and how I live my life. That was three years ago and still every day I think and talk about it. It meant that much to me.” Maxine (17)
- How much do you know about the world beyond? About the hardships and daily struggles faced by children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses? About those, who in many cases live in poverty with little or no support? About the mothers who are often left alone to fight for every minute of their child’s life? It is one thing to read about these situations. It is another to witness them first hand – and to see and feel the true magic of changing children’s lives… and yours’ too!
- Launched in 2007, the Journeys for a Lifetime program evolved as a natural “international extension” of Fundacja Dziecieca Fantazja – which makes over 500 wishes come true each year for children, in Poland, who suffer from life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
- After a historical and educational tour of Berlin, Germany, your Journey for a Lifetime will then take you to Poland where you will be empowered to personally fulfill the dreams of children suffering from life-threatening and terminal illnesses – often in circumstances beyond imagination.
- Each trip is unforgettable and unique. In addition to being a compassionate volunteer you’ll also meet other extraordinary people; make new friends across the world; have great fun; learn about European history and traditions; discover the culture and, most of all, at the end of your journey you’ll come away with a lasting impression, a real sense of fulfillment – and much more besides.
“As a teacher and a parent, I have not been on a more memorable and meaningful trip. I know this trip has not only changed the lives of the children we visited, but the lives of my students and myself”. Tim Krymusa (Teacher), Balmoral Hall School.
